Nanografi Inc. is a nano and microparticles producer and supplier which was established at METU Technopark
in 2011 by Turkish engineers. NG Chemicals department of Nanografi Inc. who is in charge of special purpose coatings. NG Materials developed Anti-Friction Coatings for applications of coating against the corrosion. In this project we developed a comprehensive rebranding for their sub-brand Micronkote starting
from naming as MOL-C. Inspired by the molecular structure (hexagon) and natural color (grey) of MoS2 (Molybdenum Disulfide), the base material of the product while designing the logo mark.
MOL-C is the general name of anti-friction coating products in the form of paint, consisting of inorganic or organic compounds, produced within the Nanografi. By forming a 5-20 micron thick film on the applied surface, it increases surface smoothness and reduces friction and wear. The structure of the coating also varies according to the temperature and loads to which the surface to be applied is exposed.
I kept things simple while working on the primary product "DRY 305" by using a yellow stripe to divide the vertical volume into three and placed the product name neatly on it. The upper part is left empty for the logo, and the lower part is a dark grey with a white description on it. It creates a clear contrast, thanks to the stripe. Also, I made sure each section's size fits well with the logo, product name, and description.
